Dear TSS readers,
Happy August everyone! Thanks for joining us this week. Rumor has it that we will be starting up our very own podcast soon, so keep an eye out for more updates on that this month. There’s also lots of Witcher news coming out recently, so be sure to check out our sister site The Path for anything and everything Witcher-related. Have a good week!
On Tuesday, Anthony will be reviewing Season 4 of Castlevania, a Netflix original anime based on the popular video game series of the same name. Gothic with a flair for supernatural drama, Castlevania follows Trevor Belmont’s misadventures as he hunts Count Dracula and other otherworldly nightmare creatures.
For Wednesday, Sorenya will be covering Netflix’s Biohackers. How far will you go to uncover the truth? Biohackers, a German sci-fi thriller, follows the life of a medical student on a quest to find out the true cause of a family tragedy. This review will look at the role of science in this tragedy and the extreme measures humans take to try to make the impossible, possible.
On Thursday, Courtney is reviewing Frank of Ireland, a series from Amazon Prime. The show follows the misadventures of Irish man-children, but isn’t ever really funny… read Courtney’s piece to find out why.
To finish out the week, instead of the usual Friday Analytical, I’ll be doing something a little different. I will be publishing my own ranking of all of the Studio Ghibli films, which are currently only available to stream on HBO Max (in the U.S.). Do you have a favorite film from this world-renowned and beloved Japanese animation studio? Check in on Friday to see where your favorites rank on my list.
Thanks for reading! As always, be sure to leave a comment or reach out to us if you have any suggestions.
